Privacy Policy
Predictye LLC (Wyoming) · Effective date: June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Predictye ("we", "our", or "us") collects when you use predictye.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. Read it before using the service. By using Predictye you accept this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account data
When you create an account we collect your email address and display name. If you register with a password we store a salted, hashed version — never the plain-text password.
OAuth sign-in — Google
If you sign in with Google, we receive from Google the information you have authorised Google to share — typically your name, email address, and profile photo. We use this solely to create or identify your Predictye account. We do not access any other Google data.
OAuth sign-in — Facebook / Meta
If you sign in with Facebook, we receive from Meta the information you have authorised Facebook to share — typically your name, email address, and profile photo. We use this solely to create or identify your Predictye account. We do not post to Facebook on your behalf or access any other Facebook data.
Content you provide
- Product photos you upload
- Item details you submit (category, purchase year, purchase price, condition, planned sale year, etc.)
- Messages sent through the Predictye chat interface
- Feedback ratings and comments
Guest / anonymous usage
If you use Predictye without an account we assign a random anonymous session ID stored in your browser. We do not link this ID to your identity.
Automatically collected data
- IP address (used to derive an approximate city-level location; the full IP is not stored long-term)
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- Pages visited, features used, and prediction interactions
- UTM campaign parameters
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5)
2. How We Use Your Information
- Generate resale-value predictions for the items you submit
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Predictye service
- Improve prediction accuracy over time by analysing uploaded images and prediction outcomes
- Create and manage your account and prediction history
- Prevent abuse and enforce rate limits
- Communicate with you about your account or the service
- Measure growth and understand how the service is used (analytics)
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI Processing Disclosure
Generating a price prediction requires sending your content to third-party AI and data services. Specifically:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — The product photo you upload and the item details you provide are sent to Anthropic to analyse the item and generate a price prediction. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their use of this data.
- RapidAPI market-data partners — To inform predictions we query third-party market-data APIs (eBay sold listings, Amazon price history, vehicle valuation data) through the RapidAPI platform. Only item descriptors (category, make, model, year, condition) are transmitted — we do not send your personal account information to these APIs.
Note: Predictions on Predictye.com are estimates only and are provided "as is" without any warranties of accuracy or reliability. Actual outcomes may vary. By using this information you accept all associated risks and responsibility.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following vendors to operate Predictye. Each processes data only as necessary to provide their service:
- Vercel — Hosts and serves the Predictye application.
- MongoDB Atlas — Hosts our database, which stores account information, prediction history, chat history, and server logs.
- Cloudinary — Stores and serves the product images you upload. Images are retained to support your prediction history.
- Anthropic — Provides the AI (Claude) used to analyse your images and generate price predictions.
- RapidAPI — Acts as a gateway to marketplace and valuation data APIs used to inform predictions (eBay sold listings, Amazon price history, vehicle valuation).
- Google — Provides OAuth sign-in if you choose to log in with Google.
- Meta / Facebook — Provides OAuth sign-in if you choose to log in with Facebook.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use the following types of cookies and browser storage:
- Session cookies — Required to keep you signed in during a browsing session. These are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies — Used to remember your cookie-consent choice and anonymous session ID across visits.
- Analytics data — We collect usage data (pages visited, interactions, IP-derived city) to understand how the service is used. This does not rely on third-party ad networks; it is collected by our own internal tracker.
A consent banner is shown on your first visit. You can accept or decline analytics cookies at that point. Declining does not affect your ability to use the service. You can also clear cookies at any time via your browser settings.
6. Data Retention
- Account data — Retained for as long as your account is active.
- Prediction history and chat logs — Retained while your account exists to power your history view.
- Uploaded images — Stored in Cloudinary and linked to your prediction history. Deleted when you request account deletion.
- On account deletion — Your personal information is removed from our systems within 30 days of a verified deletion request. See our Data Deletion page for instructions.
- Anonymised analytics — Usage data that is not linked to your identity may be retained longer for product-improvement purposes.
- Server logs — Retained for a limited period for debugging and security purposes.
